State Of The Blog - April 2022

Welcome to the monthly update... even though we skipped a month. So it's been a while since we did one of these and long overdue.

Well, I'm not gonna lie. Some stuff has been happening that required my attention more urgently than this blog thing. Had a plan moving forward that I was hoping to get going, but that's out the window. So I have to regroup in that regard. hopefully, things will start to take shape and we'll go forward without incident.

This week's Reviews
So it's safe to say that the self-imposed goal of hitting a thousand reviews in 2022 is nigh impossible. With all these stop-and-go periods, it gets to the point where the workload becomes too much and this starts to feel like work. And when something that is done for a lark starts to feel like work, it's time to take a step back. So you've got two Wrestlemania game reviews this week followed by the one Great Game reviewed on Friday and we might continue the proposed three-reviews-a-week format for a little while longer.

Phantom Post Update
Updated the backlog of material with a bunch of stuff, so might as well get that out of the way.

First off, some random comic reviews that I had laying around. A couple written in 2009 and a couple others written in 2012, but neither were finished or posted until now.

Back in 2020, when things were going bad, I had written a bunch of musings for the few 95-97 In Your House PPVs that I was missing. Then some of those files were misplaced. Fast forward to a couple weeks ago when I'm looking for some important documents and what should pop up but the flash drive with the missing In Your House musings, which also includes musings on the NXT In Your House, which I forgot I had watched and talked about. As a bit of a bonus, I tossed in a quick musings on the second NXT In Your House that took place the following year (which was also coincidentally mused upon and largely unfinished). So those have been phantom added to the blog and can be accessed in the links below as well as on the PPV Musings page.

That's about it for now. I've got a week off in the coming weeks and barring some family errands, I'll try and spend most of it working on the backlog that needs fixing; most notably the missing reviews and video commentaries. Reviews are not much of a problem, but the commentaries are the real kicker where everything is all over the place. I'll try my best in this regard, but I'm not making any promises that everything is going to be back in one piece.

That's it for me. Later, kids.
