AEW Dynamite (Feb. 3rd, 2021): BEACH BREAK!

It's Beach Break!

Chris Jericho and MJF win the Tag-Team battle royal to earn a title shot against the Bucks. Then later, the rest of the Circle complain that they're relegated to Redshirts... not necessarily in those terms, but there are certainly cracks in the group.

That Jade lady is lifting weights... yippee. Apparently, Shaq has accepted Cody's challenge for a tag match and the match will take place on March 3rd. Mark your calendars down for that one, kids.

Dr. Britt Baker DMD defeated Thunder Rosa via Lockjaw submission following Rosa bumping into an exposed turnbuckle. Very good match between the two. Britt needed a good match and she got one here since Rosa is just so good. Hopefully, things will be looking up here.

Hangman Page and Matt Hardy defeated Serpentico and Dr Luther via Matt tagging himself in to steal the pin after Hangman did all the work. This was a thing that happened and I'm curious as to why Hangman is in tag matches despite not working well in groups. Matt, on the other hand, is in Big Money Matt Total Carny mode and is not to be trusted.

So the wedding between Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford takes place without a hitch, with Father James Mitchell presiding. Miro rips up an empty box and tells Chuck to clean it up, only to get cuffed to the rope. Shenanigans occur... eh, at least they got married, but that's about all I've got to say about all that. Did nothing for me.

Lance Archer defeated Eddie Kingston in a Lumberjack match. Stuff happens, people run in, Archer eventually wins. It's fine, I guess.

AEW World Champion Kenny Omega and the Good Brothers defeated Fenix, PAC, and Jon Moxley in a pretty wild and fun six-man tag match. Then Lance Archer shows up to clear away the bad brothers and this allows KENTA to show up and put Moxley to sleep in order to further their New Japan feud over Mox's US title. See, this is something that actually intrigues me. The Impact thing? Not so much, but now New Japan getting involved in some form or fashion. That's infinitely more interesting and certainly a sign of that forbidden door slowly but surely creaking open.

This was a largely fun show. Some stuff happened, but the good stuff was REALLY good and there were some threads for the future as well as other shows as well.
