Flash Fiction #19: I Should Be A Game I Loved

The return of Flash Fictions: stories written in 300 words or less!

"So let me get this straight," Cody told the rather rotund, balding man in a trenchcoat. "You want to be a rassler at our All In PPV."

"That's right," the man said, "I should be a game I loved."

Cody raised an eyebrow. "You should be a game you loved."

"Yes."

Cody stared blankly at the man, slowly stood from his chair, and slowly made his way to the door. He paused short of grabbing the door knob, turned to face the man who was wearing a shirt bearing the cover art of the game he loved, hung his head in shame, and opened the door in order to step through.

The man pulled out a gray game cartridge from his back pocket - his favorite game that he should be - kissed it on the contacts and slipped it back into his pocket.

Then the door opened and the man soon found himself bobbed and chipped by Joey's  Johnson druids.

The End.
