In the end, it was a broken neck that ended the dream... Well, it had to happen sooner or later.
People are probably upset about this turn of events and might even think the past year of pushing the guy to the top seems like a waste, but at the end of the day, I'm not displeased with how things turned out. The guy got to beat John Cena clean, got to headline PPV main events, managed to get the crowd behind him, and eventually got the one Wrestlemania moment that made it all worthwhile. All of these things, you cannot take away from Bryan Danielson no matter how hard you tried.
It was a good story with its ups and downs. A shit ending due to real life circumstances, but a nice feelgood story from an organization that produces so few of them these days.
