TNA Sacrifice 2010 Thoughts

It's TNA Sacrifice. The first PPV of the new age where Impact sees a return to Thursdays after being humbled and tapping out (and they can sugar-coat it any way they want, but that is the case) and the tag champs are Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. What a pile of shit. Fuck you, TNA.

Okay, okay. Let's get this over with. Updated with results.

Motor City Machine Guns defeated Beer Money and Team 3D in a three-way match to earn themselves a shot at the tag titles. I had expected Team 3D to win so that we can get that eventual dream match between the Outsiders and the Dudley Boyz, so seeing the Guns win it is a nice surprise. Other than that, not much else to say. The match was alright.

TNA Global Champion Rob Terry defeated Orlando Jordan to retain the title. Not a fan of the Orlando Jordan gimmick being played here; I get he is what he is in real life and that's fine... but surely, you could do better than the stereotypically offensive stereotype. Maybe it's all that cream... yeah, this match did nothing for me.

Doug Williams defeated TNA X-Division champion Kazarian to win the title. Perfectly acceptable wrestling match, I suppose.

TNA Knockouts champion Madison Rayne defeated Tara to win the title and end Tara's career. Um... okay. This was a thing that happened and I'm not sure if that's being TOO generous. So, no more Victoria in TNA, huh? Oh well... it was fun while it lasted, I suppose. Too bad it was on a somewhat sour note.

TNA Tag-Team Champions Hall and Nash a.k.a. DA BAND defeated Ink Inc. with an assist from Team 3D to retain the titles... because I guess THEY want to kill the band rather than let the tattoo fellows win the belts or something... Good lord, this was terrible. I've said it in the predictions and I'll say it again here: Fuck you, TNA.

Abyss defeated Desmond WOlfe to get the girl. If he were to have lost, Wolfe would've gotten the Hulk Hogan WWE Hall Of Fame ring, which makes my head hurt. Watching Abyss do the whole Hulk Up routine is ridiculous and not in a good way. My brain hurts.

Jeff Hardy defeated Mr. Anderson in a so-so match. Not much to say here. It's a thing that happened and it wasn't offensive. I'll take what I can get.

By the way... Anderson's Asshole promo? Best one he's ever done.

Sting beats the shit out of Jeff Jarrett in the back before taking him to the ring and beating him some more for a little bit before beating him. Very one-sided and nice to see Jarrett finally get the shit beat out of him after having to endure countless years of him holding on to the NWA World title much like HHH held the Big Gold Belt for several years of shitty WWE shows.

TNA World Heavyweight Champion Rob Van Dam defeated AJ Styles to retain the title. Match wasn't anything special. It was alright, but the one match they had one free TV was a bit better, I think. Crowd wasn't into it either so... meh.

And so that's it. I'm done for now. Next week, WWE's Under The Limit PPV.

Later.

And oh yeah, fuck you, TNA.
