Something I've Considered...

I've got over nine hundred DVD-Rs worth of recorded gameplay footage that has been building since 2007. It's only been since 2010 that I opted to use it as a source for online videos. The collection has accounted for over a decade's worth of old-school vintage video game recordings. Memories and things of that nature. I have Word Documents that keep track of the material and which discs contain what.

The question I have now is... should I keep this stuff?

Of the 930+ discs (and counting), I'd have to say only a small portion sees much use. And as I continue to record footage and store more discs, space is slowly becoming something of a premium. Never mind the fact that the DVD recorder isn't going to last forever and sooner or later, I'm going to have to find another means of recording.

I postulate this because I've thinking about squeezing some online mileage out of that stuff. While most of it isn't something that's useful to anyone - and also, I haven't seen much of this stuff - I'd imagine there's a couple playthroughs in there that might be worth turning into online viewing experiences. All they'd need is some commentary and voila - new material for the channels.

2019 is going to be a big step forward for the blog and I want to have as much material for the site as humanly possible. Maybe that's an idea worth considering.
