Just saw the Ashens movie... Will probably get back to this in a fuller post, but suffice it to say, I thought it was an enjoyable little flick. The story was decent, there were some funny bits, the movie looked very good, there's some Multiverse cameos if you're into that sort of thing, and most of all, I thought it had a nice flow throughout the movie. There was never any instance where the movie dragged or where I could see a joke coming a mile away every ten seconds or so; even with the bit of foreshadowing at the beginning of the movie that I completely missed the first time around.
All in all, I thought it was a pretty good flick. It's not anything high caliber or high art - it does have some issues here and there - but certainl,y it was a better movie than the various rubbish specials put out by Channel Awesome over the past few years. Really, if you enjoy the Ashens stuff and want a fun little movie to watch, definitely give this a look. It's well done, it's a fun movie, and most enticing of all, it's free... quite a pleasant surprise because this deserves the DVD treatment.
